Introduction of the College
The founders of Bangladesh’s Green Life Medical College, Dhaka, MBBS, planned to establish a medical college after the hospital’s tremendous success in 2005. The institution was established in 2009, and the first class began classes there in 2010. There are 110 students enrolled at Green Life Medical College each year, including those from outside.
Green Life Medical College (GMC) is associated with the University of Dhaka, which the Medical Council approves of India. It is recognised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the Government of Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). After graduating from Green Life College, Indian students can get a NOC from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and sit for the screening exam.
The objective of the College
To develop quality controls for clinical practises and deliver healthcare to the general population, teaching students how to enhance clinical services is essential.
Student life
All students at Green Life Medical College enjoy their time there since they are encouraged to participate in various events, including conferences, student exchange programmes, seminars, etc. The institution has yearly cultural events where students can sign up for theatre, singing, dance, and other activities.
Conclusion
About 50 famous Bangladeshi doctors founded a hospital in 2005 to offer specialised treatment to the nation’s citizens. The hospital, called Green Life Hospital, was a big success. Following the hospital’s success, the Green Life Medical College was founded in 2009. The College has received approval and recognition from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the Government of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC), the Medical Council of India (MCI), the General Medical Council (UK), the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), and the University of Dhaka. Additionally, WDOMS lists it (World Directory of Medical Schools). The College seeks to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning and to assist all students in acquiring the information, abilities, and disposition necessary to practise medicine.
