The University of Traditional Medicine in Armenia (UTMA) is one of the world’s leading universities in traditional, complementary and alternative medicine. It is founded in 1991 and is recognized by the MCI in India. The University is located at Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. It is popularly known as “City of Fountains” and also as “Rosy Colored City”, as it buildings are made of pink stone in different shade. Curriculum
The duration of the General Medicine course is 6 yrs which involves theoretical and practical knowledge. The head of the department is Dean: A. Karapetyan.
From the second year onwards in the medicine programmes which is offered by the University of Traditional Medicine in Armenia, students are eligible to attend internship in the hospitals affiliated to these medical universities which provide top quality health care and use the latest medical technologies and instruments.
Library
UTM Library had about 6150 copies of educational and scientific literature. Alongside with traditional library fund the University also has electronic library.
The library of the university provides the students and the lecturers a necessary literature: academic books, educational-methodical training appliances, monographs and research works.
Year by year the book-reserve is increased with up-to-date publishing books and literature.
Accommodation
The University also offers hostel facilities for students. The University hostel rooms are well equipped and furnished and their size depends upon the availability of students in each department.
